We are seeking an experienced National Digital & Marketing Manager to lead our national marketing, communications and digital strategy, grow our community of supporters, and help drive philanthropy, awareness and engagement across Australia.

About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for growing HeartKids' national profile, strengthening our brand, increasing supporter engagement and driving philanthropic outcomes through integrated marketing, communications and digital initiatives.
Leading a small national team, you will oversee digital channels, public relations, brand management, content creation, website, social media, email marketing, digital fundraising and donor communications.
Working collaboratively across our national organisation, you will deliver impactful campaigns, tell authentic stories and build meaningful connections with families, supporters, volunteers, partners and the wider community.
This role is responsible for both the strategic direction and operational delivery of HeartKids' marketing and communications function, ensuring innovation, continuous improvement and measurable outcomes that support the organisation's strategic priorities.
About you
You will be an experienced marketing and digital professional who enjoys working strategically while remaining close to delivery.
To be successful in the role, you will bring
Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience in senior marketing, communications, or digital leadership roles.
Significant experience leading marketing, communications and digital functions, ideally within the not-for-profit, health or corporate sector.
Demonstrated success developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns that build brand awareness, supporter engagement and fundraising outcomes.
Proven experience leading and developing high‐performing teams while managing external agencies and suppliers.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deliver results.
Extensive experience across digital marketing channels, including website management, SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing and digital advertising.
Demonstrated success growing digital audiences, acquisition and supporter engagement through data‐driven marketing strategies.
Extensive experience using CRM platforms, marketing automation tools and digital analytics to inform decision‐making and optimise campaign performance.
Excellent copywriting, storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to create ethical,
authentic and engaging content that builds community trust.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across internal teams, supporters, corporate partners and external suppliers.
Experience managing marketing budgets, reporting on campaign performance and identifying opportunities to maximise return on investment.
Sound understanding of privacy legislation, child‐secure principles and the ethical responsibilities associated with collecting and managing supporter information.
A passion for making a genuine difference to the lives of Australians impacted by childhood‐onset heart disease.
