Meriton Suites is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to support our Broadbeach Hotel.About the RoleReporting directly to the Hotel Manager and Area Maintenance Manager, as the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for facilitating a cohesive environment between maintenance, housekeeping and front office departments and ensure all maintenance staff are meeting service and safety standards across hotel operations and facilities, including suites, public areas and back of house.Your key responsibilitiesPreferred trade certification and experienceWill have a proven history working in a hotel, or similarStrongleadership skills and building management knowledgeBeing able to effectively support a team in a safe working environmentSupport in the maintaining and upkeep of the property and facilities at all timesDaily duties may include, but not limited toFitting, testing, repairing and replacing fixtures and fittings, including lightbulbs, windows, doors, and handrailsPerforming basic plumbing maintenance and repairs on taps, basins and toiletsPerforming basic carpentry, including hanging and replacing doors and operating power toolsPerforming minor welds to fabricate or repair fixturesChecking safety equipment such as fire hoses, fire extinguishers,



smoke detectors and alarmsReporting requirements for significant repairs to managementClearing gutters and common areas of rubbish and debrisApplying and repairing paint and plasterChanging locks on doors and windowsTo be successful in this role you willhavePrevious experience in a similar roleA high level of attention to detailThe ability to work unsupervisedFull availability to work a 7-day rotating rosterProfessional approach in dealing with guests and other staff members whilst carrying out your daily tasksMust pass a Work Health Physical Assessment/Drug and Alcohol test prior to employmentWhy Meriton Suites?
