Rostered Day Off – enjoy one day off every month18 weeks paid parental leave, annual salary increases and long service leaveHealth & wellbeing benefits, including Fitness PassportA chance to make a real difference in your local communityThe salary range for this opportunity starts at $69,034 (Grade C, Step 1) plus 12% super.The roleAs a Plant Operator – Street Cleaning - Night Shift, you'll operate street cleaning plant and equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness across public roads, town centres and Council properties during night shift.Your work will help remove debris, litter, leaves and other waste materials to support public safety, city presentation and a cleaner environment.For a full list of duties, click HERE to review the position description.What you'll be doingOperating street cleaning plant and equipment according to set schedulesKeeping streets and footpaths transparent of debris, litter and leavesPerforming pre and post-operation checks on vehicles and equipmentUsing blowers and other equipment to support cleaning activitiesResponding to emergency cleaning requestsDocumenting and reporting issues such as large debris, vandalism, hazardous waste or maintenance concernsWorking safely and in compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law,



Chain of Responsibility and relevant road rulesEngaging respectfully with residents and visitors when requiredAbout youYou're reliable, safety-focused and take pride in keeping public spaces clean and well maintained.
