Bentley Excavations is seeking a skilled and reliable GPS Excavator Operator to join our team on a casual basis.
Based in Hervey Bay, QLD, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse construction and excavation projects.
As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating excavation equipment to support our construction operations, demonstrating precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety at all times.What you'll be doingOperating excavators and other earthmoving equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant regulations and site requirementsPositioning and manoeuvring equipment to perform excavation, grading, and material handling tasksMonitoring equipment performance and reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements to supervisorsCommunicating effectively with site supervisors, spotters, and other team members to ensure safe and coordinated operationsMaintaining accurate records of work completed and equipment usageAdhering to all site-specific safety protocols and contributing to a positive safety cultureAssisting with equipment setup, breakdown, and relocation between job sites as requiredPerforming pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in safe working conditionWhat we're looking forCurrent and valid Heavy Equipment Operator certification or equivalent qualifications recognised in QueenslandProven experience operating excavators in construction or related industriesCurrent class C driver's licence or higherValid Construction Induction Card (White Card)
