Team Global Express is seeking aMechanical Fitterto join our Engineering team at ourLarapintadepotThis is aPermanent Full-Time opportunityMonday to Friday roster, with rotating AM and PM shiftsThis role suits someone hands‐on, motivated, and capable of fault finding and fixing equipment to keep operations runningTrade qualified mechanical fitters, electricians or other relevant trades are encouraged to apply — strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to think on your feet are essentialWork on and maintain one of Southeast Queensland's largest freight automation systemsYou will be responsible for maintaining and improving automated freight handling systems operating across Larapinta, Brisbane Airport, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast facilities.Uniforms and all tools of trade providedTravel – company vehicle provided for travel to regional sites when requiredHands‐on work across high‐speed freight automation and conveyor systemsOpportunity to be involved in improving system performance and reliabilityKey ResponsibilitiesCarry out maintenance and repairs on automated conveyor systemsFault find and resolve breakdowns to keep operations runningPerform preventative and corrective maintenanceWork closely with operations to minimise downtimeUse MEX CMMS to complete maintenance tasks and reportingAssist with continuous improvement of equipment and systemsWhat you'll bringTrade qualified mechanical fitter or other relevant trade, with strong mechanical aptitudeExperience working on mechanical equipment, conveyors, or similar systemsAbility to work independently and take ownership of tasksStrong problem‐solving skills and practical approachBasic welding or fabrication skillsExperience with CMMS systems such as MEX (or similar) desirableExperience with Conveyor systems or automation equipmentBackground in Logistics, freight or manufacturing (preferred but not mandatory)Experience with Belt tracking, tensioning, and general conveyor servicingAbout Team Global ExpressTeam Global Express (TGE)
