NBS Metal Roofing is looking for an experienced Leading Hand Metal Roofer to join our team.
This role suits a reliable roofer who takes pride in their work, can lead a small crew and is comfortable taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of roofing jobs.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate a small roofing crew
Read plans, job scopes and installation details
Organise daily tasks and keep jobs progressing
Complete metal roofing, wall cladding, flashings, fascia and gutter work
Check workmanship throughout each stage of the job
Communicate material shortages or site issues early
Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite
Ensure workers follow SWMS and company safety procedures
Train and support apprentices and less-experienced roofers
Report progress, defects and delays to the Field Operations Supervisor
Assist with minor maintenance and rectification work when required
What we are looking for:




Strong experience in metal roofing
Previous Leading Hand or crew leadership experience
High workmanship and presentation standards
Ability to read plans and understand roofing details
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Reliable, organised and able to work without constant supervision
Construction White Card
Working at Heights and EWP tickets are highly regarded
