We provide individualised and tailored care and support to people living with disabilities.
We offer a wide range of support, services and programs to our participants and their families which includes:Community AccessSupported Independent LivingRespite Care and Short Term Accommodation (STA)The opportunity is for a casual position working a flexible roster including weekends and overnight supports with progression into a permanent position for the right candidate.Experience is preferred but not essential - You will have access to on the job training and a variety of Origin tools and resources.About the OpportunityAs a Disability Support Worker you will be responsible for providing support and care to all our participants both in their home and out in the community.
Support Workers will assist them with their day to day activities while encouraging their independence and respecting their choice and control.Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager,



you will be responsible for:Assisting our participants with day to day activitiesBuilding relationships with our participantsSupporting our participants with appointmentsProviding Support in a SIL house environmentProviding community access to our participants eg grocery shopping, recreational activities ect.Ensuring our SIL homes is clean, tidy and organisedGeneral cooking and domestic duties eg laundry, food preparation ectRecording detailed Incident Reports and Shift NotesEnsuring the participants needs are being met, paying particular focus to the goals outlined in their NDIS plan.About YouTo be successful in the role you must have:Yellow Card (or willing to apply)Blue Card (or willing to apply)Third party car insurance and use of your own motor vehicle for transporting participantsFull working rights within AustraliaMust have valuable availability - able to work weekends and nightsDesirable (but not essential):Certificate 3 or above in community services or individual supportExperience with high intensity supportsExperience in a similar role will be highly advantageousAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples encouraged to applyPerks and Advantages of Working with Origin Support ServicesAnnual pay reviews based on performanceVaried work - No 2 days are the sameThe ability to make a difference in the community and the lives of those living with disabilities.
