This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in the operational success of our business.
As Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our fleet of hydro excavation equipment and vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, maintenance, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
You will report directly to senior management and will have a direct impact on our operational efficiency, safety outcomes, and profitability.Key responsibilitiesManage and maintain comprehensive fleet records, including vehicle registrations, maintenance schedules, inspections, and compliance documentationOversee the scheduling and coordination of preventative and corrective maintenance for all fleet vehicles and equipmentMonitor fuel consumption, vehicle performance metrics, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costsEnsure all vehicles and equipment meet safety standards and comply with relevant legislation, including Work Health and Safety requirementsConduct regular inspections and audits of fleet assets to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concernsManage relationships with external service providers, including mechanics, suppliers,



and maintenance contractorsDevelop and implement fleet policies and procedures to optimise asset utilisation and extend vehicle lifespanTrack and analyse fleet data to provide reports and recommendations to management on performance and cost managementOversee vehicle acquisitions, disposals, and upgrades in line with business requirements and budget constraintsCoordinate with operational teams to minimise vehicle downtime and ensure equipment availability for job schedulingMaintain knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies in fleet managementWhat we're looking forProven experience of 3+ years in fleet management or a similar supervisory role within the transport, logistics, or construction sectorsDemonstrated knowledge of vehicle maintenance, mechanical systems, and fleet compliance requirementsStrong understanding of Work Health and Safety regulations and experience implementing safety protocols within fleet operationsProficiency with fleet management software, telematics systems, and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teamsProblem-solving capability and the ability to make sound decisions under pressureAttention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentationA valid driver's licence and a clean driving recordDesirable: Experience with hydro excavation equipment or specialised plant machineryDesirable: Knowledge of budget management and cost control strategiesWhat we offerDynamic Hydro Excavations is committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our team.
