My client seeking a Building Assessor to join a well-established organisation responsible for assessing and auditing a diverse portfolio of property and infrastructure assets.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a trade background who enjoys inspections, condition assessments, and working with data while achieving a genuine work-life balance.
This role is ideal for qualified tradespeople, building inspectors, insurance assessors, facilities professionals, or asset management specialists looking to apply their practical experience in a rewarding office-and-field-based position.
About the Role
Working across a diverse property portfolio, you will undertake estate appraisals, asset condition assessments, data validation, and quality assurance activities to ensure asset information is accurate, compliant, and fit for purpose.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and consultants while using a range of asset management systems to support maintenance planning, compliance, and asset lifecycle decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct estate appraisals and asset condition assessments.
Audit and validate asset information to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Analyse asset condition and performance data using Microsoft Excel and internal systems.
Prepare reports and provide recommendations based on findings.
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and organisational policies.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and data quality programs.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines practical industry experience with robust analytical and organisational skills.
Ideally, you will have:
A trade qualification (Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing,



Building, Mechanical or similar).
Experience in asset auditing, building inspections, condition assessments, insurance assessing, facilities management, or property maintenance.
Strong computer literacy with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
The ability to quickly learn new software and internal asset management systems.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable Experience
Experience using asset management or maintenance management systems
Knowledge of asset management principles, compliance requirements, and quality assurance processes.
Experience working with asset data, reporting, and validation.
Contract administration or compliance governance experience.
