The AWS Region Services team combines AWS global cloud leadership with Australian security expertise to deliver highly secure, scalable environments for sensitive workloads.

Key job responsibilitiesThe Systems Engineer contributes to the design, implementation, and automation of complex Windows infrastructure solutions across multiple environments.
This role supports the infrastructure automation, system architecture, and Windows setting management, focusing on developing automated solutions for managing large server fleet.Provide technical support for Windows Server infrastructure systems and Active Directory servicesPerform system maintenance, updates, and patch management for Windows environmentsDevelop and implement automation solutions for routine support processes using PowerShell and other scripting toolsMaintain accurate documentation of all support activities,



and contribute to knowledge base and runbook developmentParticipate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system availabilityAbout the teamRegion Services provides the highest caliber Operational Solutions and Cleared Support for services within our Regions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experienceKnowledge of networking fundamentalsExperience with a scripting language such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby or similar1+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experiencePreferred qualifications2+ years of building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments experienceKnowledge of DevOps practices and tools including Continuous Integration / Deployment, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef etc.Experience in networking and troubleshooting2+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experienceAcknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
