We're looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to join a well-established and supportive operations team, managing import and export shipments from start to finish.This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a background in freight forwarding or logistics who enjoys taking ownership, working with precision, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role for the right candidate.The RoleReporting to the Operations Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:Coordinating import and export shipments from booking through to final deliveryLiaising with customers, suppliers, carriers and overseas offices to ensure smooth shipment executionEnsuring compliance with Australian Customs regulations and internal Quality Management System (QMS) proceduresOrganising transport and monitoring shipments to meet customer service standards and KPIsMaintaining accurate shipment records,



tracking information and system updatesProcessing invoicing within required timeframesReviewing shipment files to ensure accurate costing and profitabilityProactively communicating with customers regarding shipment updates, delays or changesCompleting company collections using a company vehicleAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Previous experience in freight forwarding or logistics (essential)Cargo wise experienceA solid understanding of export operations and documentationExcellent attention to detail and strong organisational skillsOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and freight management systemsThe ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a quick-paced environmentA proactive, customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skillsA current Australian Driver's LicenceDangerous Goods knowledge (advantageous)
