This part-time role (3 days per week) will focus on developing local corporate accounts across accommodation and meetings & events, supporting the property's positioning as the preferred choice for business travellers and event organisers in Townsville's mining, defence, government, infrastructure, and corporate sectors.This is a hands‐on, relationship‐driven role suited to someone who enjoys building local networks, coordinating sales activity, and contributing creative energy to the hotel's social media presence.Location: Holiday Inn TownsvilleEmployment type: Part-time, 3 days per week (days negotiable)Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Sales – AccommodationIdentify, prospect, and develop relationships with local corporate accounts across key Townsville sectors (mining, defence, government, infrastructure, healthcare, and professional services)Conduct sales calls, site visits, and client meetings to generate accommodation bookings and corporate rate agreementsMaintain and grow a pipeline of local business accounts in the CRM/sales systemPrepare and issue corporate rate proposals, contracts, and account documentationSupport participation in relevant IHG preferred travel programs (e.g. NHOP) and corporate travel platform listingsMeetings & Events SalesRespond to and convert meeting, conference, and small event enquiries for the Flinders Room and other function spacesCoordinate site inspections and client familiarisations for prospective M&E; clientsLiaise with local businesses, associations,



and government bodies to generate repeat and current event businessWork with operations and conferencing teams to ensure smooth handover of confirmed eventsSocial Media & Local MarketingSupport the creation and scheduling of social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) showcasing the hotel, local corporate partnerships, and event spacesCapture photo/video content during site visits, events, and hotel activities for use across social channelsAssist with local marketing collateral and community/corporate partnership initiativesMonitor engagement and provide simple performance summaries to the Director of SalesGeneral Sales CoordinationProvide general administrative support to the sales function, including diary coordination, call reports, and account recordsRepresent Holiday Inn Townsville at local business events, chamber of commerce functions, and networking opportunities as requiredSupport broader La Vie commercial initiatives and reporting as neededSkills & ExperiencePrevious experience in hotel sales, sales coordination, or a similar corporate/hospitality relationship role preferredStrong local knowledge of the Townsville business community is highly regardedConfident communicator with the ability to build rapport across a range of stakeholdersComfortable using social media platforms for business/brand purposesOrganised, self‐motivated, and able to manage priorities independently across a part‐time scheduleProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with hotel CRM/sales systems (e.g. Opera S&C;, Delphi) an advantageA valid driver's licence for local client visitsWhat We OfferFlexible part‐time arrangement (3 days per week)The opportunity to be part of the commercial launch team for a new-to‐market Holiday Inn propertySupport and mentorship from La Vie's broader Commercial teamEmployee travel and hotel discounts across the La Vie portfolioHoliday Inn Townsville is managed by La Vie Hotels & Resorts.
