Position:Heavy Vehicle MechanicLocation:MarsdenHourly Rate:$***** p/hr + superMaxima's Recruitment Servicesis currently seeking highly motivated individual as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for one of our government clients.Primary Role PurposeAs a Mechanic, you will work closely with the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator and Workshop Programmer to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of light vehicles, heavy vehicles, plant and machinery.Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs of engines, transmissions (manual /powershift), hydraulic systems, air systems, brake systems, steering systems and all othermechanical and electrical related mattersCarry out body repairs including minor fabrication,



welding and spray paintingCarry out fault finding and trouble shooting activities to identify necessary repair workConduct brake testing in accordance with the Department of Transport authorisationProvide apprentices with on the job training relevant to their apprenticeshipsCompile service records on maintenance activities carried out on items of plantExperienceConfident working on small, medium and large enginesAbility to work well in a team environmentConfident assisting in the training of apprenticesQualificationsCurrent QLD Class C Driver's licence (HR licence advantageous)White Card or willing to obtain within 3 months
