The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at our Somersby NSW workshop.
In this hands-on role, you will take the lead in maintaining and repairing our fleet of waste trucks and truck bodies, ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently.
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehiclesConduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure fleet safety and complianceDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faultsMaintain accurate service records using fleet management systemsSupport workshop safety and cleanliness in line with WHS policiesCarry out basic welding and grinding work as required
About you
Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)A valid HR licence (advantageous)Strong understanding of hydraulics and electricsAbility to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently and cost-effectiveExperience with fleet maintenance and running repairsCommitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
