Internally they are building a culture where clinicians genuinely feel supported, empowered, connected and inspired to do their best work.Position Description:This organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth across North Queensland, and they are seeking a Clinical Allied Health Leader to help guide and strengthen their Cairns Hub.




This role is about much more than day-to-day clinical service delivery and is not leadership from behind a desk.As Clinical Allied Health Leaderyou will:Support and mentor cliniciansLead by exampleContribute to a positive and high-performing team cultureWork closely with local operational leaders to ensure the hub is functioning effectively and sustainablyPlay an active role in strengthening their connection with the Cairns community and surrounding region.Collaborate with Clinical Hub Leads in Townsville and Mackay, as well as the organisation Quality of Care BoardThis role is designed for an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Psychologist or Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner who is ready to step into something bigger.You will still maintain a small clinical caseload to stay connected to practice and clients, but your predominant focus will be:Lead and support the Cairns clinical teamBuild a positive, high-quality team cultureMentor clinicians and develop future leadersStrengthen clinical quality and best-practice service deliverySupport the effective day-to-day operation of the hubGrow the organisations' presence and partnerships in the Cairns communityIdentify opportunities for service growth, collaboration, and community programsWork with other Hub Leads and the Quality-of-Care Board to strengthen the organisation across North QueenslandPosition Requirements:Qualified as a senior Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Psychologist, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with relevant registrationStrong business acumen and leadershipPositive and authentic in relationshipsAbility to build solid community relationships and partnerships easilyAbout Cairns:Based in Cairns, enjoy an incredible lifestyle surrounded by rainforest, reef, waterfalls and adventure, while building something meaningful professionally.For more information on this position, please contact our team ****** successful placement, eligible candidates may be entitled to receive support and financial assistance through Health Workforce Queensland's comprehensive workforce attraction and retention incentives.
