warehouse teams and operational controllersResponding to customer enquiries and providing updates on freight movementsIdentifying and resolving discrepancies in freight documentation and consignment detailsSupporting daily administrative tasks and maintaining accurate operational recordsEnsuring compliance with rail safety requirements, transport regulations and company proceduresAssisting with the coordination of loading, unloading and scheduling activities to meet operational deadlinesWhat You'll BringExcellent attention to detail with strong data entry and documentation skillsEffective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operational teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing prioritiesConfidence using computer systems and learning new technologiesA proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership and solve problemsPrevious experience in rail, freight, transport, logistics or administration (highly regarded)Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive working relationshipsPrevious experience in rail, transport, freight, logistics or administration (preferred)Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends or public holidays if requiredExperience using rail or freight management systemsKnowledge of rail freight operations and terminal proceduresUnderstanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and rail safety principlesFamiliarity with transport scheduling, dispatch and freight documentation processesAs part of the recruitment process, we'll be running Assessment Days that include a face-to-face interview and safety assessments.
If successful, you'll also need to complete a pre-employment medical, including a functional capacity assessment, drug and alcohol screen, and audio review.
