We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a 6 month contract with a view to go permanent.
Flexible hours will be considered.

Position Summary
The Accountant will play a critical role in managing the hospital's financial operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting accurate reporting for decision-making.
This position involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting and audits in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting and healthcare industry standards
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimisation




Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Assist in developing and monitoring departmental budgets
Provide financial projections and support strategic planning initiatives
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, tax laws, and internal policies
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation
Process payroll accurately
Allocate costs to appropriate departments and service lines
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA preferred)
2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or hospital settings
Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards and healthcare financial regulations
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central desirable
