We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join our dynamic and growing toy import, wholesale and retail business.Working alongside our Chief Buyer and a passionate team, you'll play a key role in helping deliver innovative toy and discovery product ranges to customers across Australia.
This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your buying experience in a creative, fast-paced environment.About the RoleAs an Assistant Buyer, you will support the buying and product development process from concept through to delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:Liaising with local and international suppliersAnalysing sales performance and inventory levelsAssisting with forecasting and predictive orderingCoordinating and managing purchase ordersAssisting our graphic design team with product and catalogue requirementsManaging Open-to-Buy reportingMaintaining shipping and import documentationManaging and organising product samplesEnsuring all records and documentation are accurate and up to dateProviding administrative support to the Chief BuyerAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience in a buying or assistant buying role is a benefitStrong attention to detail with excellent spelling and grammarHigh levels of accuracy and confidence working with numbersThe ability to manage multiple priorities and work independentlyA proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skillsFluency in Cantonese (preferred but not essential)What We OfferA supportive, friendly and collaborative team environmentThe opportunity to work in a growing and innovative businessHands-on involvement in developing exciting new toy and discovery product rangesCareer development opportunities within the buying and product development spaceA fun industry where no two days are the sameIf you're passionate about product development, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are ready to contribute to a successful and growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
