About the Role:
At Bellfield College, Teachers play a vital role in delivering high-quality, engaging, and challenging learning experiences across the curriculum, developing curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning in students.
In addition to their teaching responsibilities, staff at the College are expected to actively engage with and contribute to the wider College ethos, activities, and events.
This includes supporting the whole school responsibility for developing student character, pastoral care, and participation in school directed activities such as prayer time, sports, behaviour management, and maintaining high standards of uniform.
Bellfield College invites dynamic and innovative Visual Arts teachers to apply for a full time classroom teacher position commencing in term 3, **** (Monday, 20 July).
A part-time role for the right applicant will be considered.
Generous remuneration above the published **** CMEA rates.
To be successful in this role it is desirable that you are able to:
Deliver a Dynamic Curriculum:
Design and implement a stimulating, inclusive Visual Arts program aligned with the NSW Curriculum
Foster Creativity:
Cultivate a supportive environment where every student feels confident to explore their artistic potential
Showcase Student Talent:
Coordinate school art displays and contribute to community art events or exhibitions.




Manage Resources:
Oversee the art budget, maintain inventory, and ensure the art room is a safe, organised, and an inspiring space.
Key Responsibilities
Fulfil all responsibilities related to teaching and learning
Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation
Experience working with animation and Motion Graphics would be desirable but not essential - the College is keen to discuss your own particular teaching specialties and interests with you
Ability to integrate technological aspects of the Visual Arts curriculum in teaching
Plan, write, and implement coherent, well sequenced programs and resources that actively engage students and promote deep learning.
Proactively prepare for each term by independently sourcing required information and organising class materials in advance.
Use non term time effectively for curriculum planning and development.
Actively seek professional learning opportunities beyond the College's pathways to enhance practice and subject expertise.
Apply a wide range of evidence based teaching strategies responsive to the diverse strengths and needs of students.
Use effective verbal and non verbal communication to support student understanding, engagement, and achievement, aligned with the College's explicit teaching framework and Hattie's visible learning strategies.
Incorporate assessment data and feedback to refine teaching practices and improve student outcomes.
Provide high quality, timely, and constructive feedback to students and seek input from parents and carers to support learning.
Contribute to faculty initiatives, strategies, and the development of shared resources.
Integrate ICT effectively into teaching and learning programs.




Foster parent/carer involvement in the educative process where appropriate.
Create inclusive, supportive learning environments by modelling positive behaviour, reinforcing expectations, and applying consistent behaviour management strategies.
Establish and maintain effective classroom routines and structures that support learning.
Set high expectations, promote a culture of excellence, and challenge students to achieve their best outcomes.
Comply with College assessment and reporting policies and procedures.
Develop, select, and apply a range of informal and formal assessment strategies (diagnostic, formative, and summative) to evaluate student learning.
Prepare clear, timely, and meaningful reports and notifications for students and parents.
Engage in moderation, differentiation, NCCD, and annotation processes to ensure compliance and consistency in assessment and reporting.
Maintain accurate and up to date records of student progress and achievement.
Build positive relationships with students, demonstrating care, encouragement, and ongoing support.
Participate in College development pathways, including Head of Department mentoring, collegial mentoring programs, team teaching, and peer observation.
Have an understanding of and commitment to the ethos of the College
