Employment type: Full time, PermanentHours per week: 38Remuneration: Band 2 salary from $73,****** per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDOLocation: Hoppers Crossing basedAbout the roleAs one of Wyndham Council's Open Space Maintenance Team Members, you will fulfill daily allocated tasks in maintaining trees, gardens, parks, sporting fields, plantations drains and/or road reserves.You will work in a team to improve various locations around the Wyndham Municipality by undertaking your duties to a high standard, in an efficient manner and with minimal of inconvenience and disruption to the public.What your day will look likeOperating a range of small and medium plant and equipment associated with garden maintenance - e.g. rotary hoes, mowers, brush cutters, pruners, etcTaking responsibility for the care of plant, tools and equipment, including fuel, lubrication and fluid levels as requiredEradicating weeds by both manual and chemical techniquesActing on or reporting observed situations requiring maintenance attentionEnsuring relevant use of personal safety clothing and equipmentWhat you will bringLicence to drive a motor vehicleLicence to drive a truck to 13.9T (Desirable)Roadside safety training (Desirable)Chemical Users Certificate (Desirable)Weed/plant identification skillsExperience in general garden maintenanceCompetence in use of small and medium plantExperience in customer service and working with the 'public' environmentCurrent Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain (Desirable)If you progress past the interview stage, you may be required to complete pre-employment screening, which may include police checks, a medical, qualification verification,
