This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining safe and well-presented facilities, and understands the importance of a well-maintained setting in supporting the quality of life of our residents.Our Ideal candidateMinimum of 2 years' experience completing maintenance for commercial businesses preferredPolice Check (National Police Certificate) (Essential)Knowledge of Work, Health and Safety RequirementsPossess good communication and organisational skills.Be able to work proactively to identify maintenance problems, including regularly inspecting and assessing repair work; andHave the ability to recognise, escalation and resolve maintenance matters which require further assistance.Current Driver's License Class C; andA SafeWork NSW White Card (preferred)Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain common grounds and shared spaces to a high standard of presentationPerform general garden maintenance,



including mulching, planting, weed control (manual and spraying), and lawn careOperate garden and maintenance equipment, including ride-on mowers, power tools, and high-pressure cleaning equipmentCarry out general building maintenance such as painting, lighting replacement, gutter cleaning, basic plumbing, tiling, and minor repairsFollow preventative maintenance programs to ensure timely upkeep of buildings and outdoor areasIdentify, report, and address hazards in line with work health and safety proceduresObtain quotes for repairs or maintenance works as directed by the House ManagerProvide friendly, professional service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staffBuild positive relationships with residents through a respectful, approachable, and supportive mannerAbout the CompanyThompson Health Care is a family-owned company, with five decades of experience.
