Position Summary
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects.
This role requires a high level of technical expertise, compliance with Australian standards, and a robust commitment to safety and quality workmanship.The Electrician will perform skilled electrical work as part of the company's operations, contributing to efficient project delivery and ongoing maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Installation & Maintenance
Install, test, and commission electrical systems in accordance with Australian Standards (AS/NZS **** Wiring Rules)
Carry out electrical wiring, cabling, and fit-off for residential and commercial projects
Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electrical systems and equipment
Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of electrical installations
Testing & Compliance
Perform testing and verification of electrical systems
Complete Certificates of Electrical Safety (COES) and required documentation
Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards
Fault Finding & Problem Solving
Identify electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment
Troubleshoot system issues efficiently to minimise downtime
Provide practical solutions and recommendations to clients and supervisors
Adhere to workplace health and safety (WHS)
policies and procedures
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on time
Liaise with supervisors, clients, and other trades
Assist apprentices and junior staff where required
Skills & Experience Required
Relevant electrical qualification (e.g. Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent)
Valid Electrical Licence (or eligibility to obtain in Australia)
Demonstrated experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work
Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulations
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Licences & Certifications
Electrical Licence (QLD or transferable)
White Card (Construction Induction)
Driver's Licence
First Aid & CPR (preferred)
