As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and welcoming experience for all our patients.
This position is based on-site at our Bowral location and is essential to the day-to-day operations of our practice.Key responsibilitiesAssisting dentists and dental hygienists during clinical procedures and treatmentsPreparing treatment rooms and sterilising dental instruments according to infection control protocolsManaging patient records, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate documentationWelcoming patients, answering enquiries, and ensuring a friendly reception experienceAssisting with patient education regarding oral hygiene and post-treatment careMaintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the dental practiceProcessing patient payments and administrative tasksSupporting the dental team with inventory management and supply orderingWhat we're looking forExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approachStrong organisational abilities and attention to detailKnowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols is preferred but not essential as training will be providedProficiency with software and basic computer skillsPhysical capability to work chairside and perform manual tasks throughout the dayA commitment to professional development and staying current with dental knowledgeAbility to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentCurrent immunisations as required by dental practice standardsOptimistic outlook and good problem solving skillsWhat we offerVillage Dental Care is committed to creating a supportive and rewarding work environment where our team members can thrive.
