In the absence of the Quarry Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the quarry.Key responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate daily quarry operations to meet production and performance targets.Operate a range of mobile plant and equipment as required, including excavators,loaders,



dump trucks and screening plantEnsure all operations comply with company procedures, site approvals, and legislative requirementsMonitor loading and unloading activities to ensure safe and effective operationsAssist with the commissioning and implementation of new plant and equipmentSupport the development and training of operators on new equipment and operational processesEnsure operating procedures are developed and maintained for new plant and equipment.What we are looking forPrevious experience in a supervisory role within quarrying, mining, civil construction, or a similar heavy industry environmentDemonstrated experience operating heavy mobile plantStrong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead by exampleA sound understanding of WHS legislation and best practicesA proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvementThe ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environmentCert IV in Extractive Industries will be highly regardedRelevant plant operation tickets and qualifications is highly regarded.Note: We promote a safe work culture; therefore, we have a process of reference checking and pre-employment medicals, including a drug and alcohol screen for the successful applicant.We appreciate the time it takes to submit a job application, and we thank you for your interest in working at Benedict.
