About the Role
Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for stable, ongoing work in the Northern Territory?
We are currently seeking skilled and safety-focused Mechanical Fitters to join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure consistent work,
FIFO from Cairns or Brisbane.

Ongoing rostered work based in NT at a Water Treatment Plant
2:1 basis FIAM - FOAM
Dayshift only

Duties
Daily maintenance on water treatment plant at the mine and port facilities
Checking for leaks and greasing
Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment and operate machines to produce parts or tools
Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments




Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together
Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Operate powered machines that may be manually, or computer controlled
Erect machinery and equipment on site as required; and inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs as required
Essential Criteria (what's required):
Trade certification (Cert III in Mechanical Fitting or Cert III Fitting and Machining)
Minimum 4 years' experience
Must include Pipefitting and Pump / Valve refurbishment
High Risk Licence
Elevated Work Platform
Dogman or Basic Rigging
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to work well in a team
Solid commitment towards safety and quality
Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude
Company and customer focused based
Supply a current driver's license
Working at heights and confined space certificates
Ability to pass a medical and D&A; screen
