About the role:
As an experienced Embryologist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping each patient's fertility journey, delivering exceptional Embryology and Andrology services that directly influence clinical outcomes and patient experience.
This is an opportunity to work within a high-performing, patient-centric environment where precision, care, and collaboration are at the forefront.
The role requires an Embryologist who is confident working within a high-throughput clinical laboratory and who brings broad technical experience across routine and specialised assisted reproductive technologies.
Working closely with both the Laboratory Supervisor and Team Leader, you will contribute to a culture of excellence while supporting best-practice clinical standards.
Your responsibilities may include:
Deliver consistently high standards of patient care and service
Perform a broad range of embryology and andrology procedures
Support oocyte retrieval, conventional IVF, ICSI, embryo assessment and culture
Undertake embryo and reproductive tissue cryopreservation activities
Assist with embryo transfer and semen preparation procedures
Manage competing clinical priorities within a high-throughput laboratory environment
Maintain rigorous quality, compliance and performance standards
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding patient outcomes
Contribute to continuous improvement and best-practice clinical standards
Are you the ideal candidate?
You are a highly skilled and detail-oriented Embryologist who takes pride in delivering excellence.
You understand the significance of your role in supporting patients through deeply personal journeys and bring both technical expertise and genuine care to your work.
Ideally, you will bring:
A degree in Biological Science, Health Science or a related discipline (Master's highly regarded)
Minimum 2 years' experience in IVF embryology
Strong knowledge of ART legislation, RTAC Code of Practice, and clinical protocols
Demonstrated expertise across clinical embryology and andrology services, including oocyte handling, conventional IVF, ICSI, embryo assessment and culture, embryo cryopreservation, embryo transfer, semen analysis and sperm preparation
Experience in specialised assisted reproductive technologies, including reproductive tissue cryopreservation or embryo biopsy (desirable)
Experience working effectively within a complex, high-volume laboratory while maintaining accuracy, traceability and patient safety
Strong knowledge of ART regulation and clinical laboratory protocols, with the ability to rapidly develop working knowledge of the RTAC Code of Practice and relevant Australian requirements
Exceptional pipetting and fine motor skills
A strong focus on patient outcomes, with a meticulous attention to detail
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
