About the Role
The Assistant Mathematics Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling teaching duties and employing various management strategies and technologies to execute leadership tasks within the Mathematics faculty.
This role involves overseeing and enhancing the quality of mathematics teaching and learning, guiding and implementing curriculum changes, and ensuring consistent, high-quality program delivery across the College.
The Assistant Mathematics Coordinator supports teachers to understand and apply evidence-based and cutting-edge instructional methods, manage student behaviour, organise and supervise relief staff, and use data to inform and enhance student learning outcomes.
Working in partnership with teachers, students, and families, the Assistant Mathematics Coordinator collaborates with colleagues to design, develop, and achieve the objectives outlined in the school's annual improvement plan.
The Assistant Mathematics Coordinator fosters a productive, inclusive, and intellectually rich learning environment that encourages all students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and achieve their full potential, aligning with the school's long-term goals.

Qualifications and Eligibility
Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Master of Teaching
ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
