About Us
Bings Nomiya operates an affordable Japanese restaurant and premium wagyu
barbecue restaurant, side by side.
We are seeking a Chef for our Japanese restaurant, handling preparation and
cooking of a wide Japanese menu, including sushi, bento sets, donburi, and noodles.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
Prepare and cook food to the highest standard across all menu sections:
 Sushi Sashimi, nigiri, maki, gourmet rolls, sashimi platters, aburi, sushi
train items
 Hot Kitchen: ramen (tonkotsu and others), donburi (wagyu beef don, yakiniku
beef don, karaage chicken don), bento sets, mains (wafu beef, honey
chicken), gyoza
 Tapas: grilled and salad tapas, karaage, edamame, bao buns
 Monitor quality at all stages — from receiving and storage to final presentation
Kitchen Operations
 Assist with stock control, storage,



and rotation; ensure proper freezing and
preservation of high-value proteins
 Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations
 Coordinate with front-of-house staff on service timing, dietary requirements,
and special requests
 Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
Quality & Standards
 Inspect deliveries for quality and freshness
 Enforce consistent plating and presentation standards
 Monitor temperature logs and food handling protocols
Qualifications & Experience
 Minimum Diploma in relevant field
 Minimum 1 year experience in a Japanese restaurant
 Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Pay: $75,****** – $85,****** per year
