Expression of Interest | Exercise Physiologists | TOOWOOMBA
The Veteran Health Association (VHA) is preparing to establish its Veterans' Better Life Program in Toowoomba, with anticipated commencement in early ****, and is inviting expressions of interest from Accredited Exercise Physiologists who may be interested in future opportunities within a multidisciplinary veteran-focused service.
This may suit clinicians who are passionate about movement-based care, rehabilitation, confidence-building and practical, outcomes-focused support.
The program supports veterans to improve physical capacity, function, confidence and quality of life within a coordinated care model.
This is an Expression of Interest only and not an immediate vacancy.
The purpose is to connect early with clinicians who may be interested in future opportunities should the Toowoomba service proceed.
We would be pleased to hear from Accredited Exercise Physiologists who have experience or interest in:
• musculoskeletal rehabilitation and injury recovery
• persistent pain, chronic condition support and functional reconditioning
• exercise-based intervention within a coordinated care model
• working with veterans, complex presentations or DVA clients
Depending on the final service model, future opportunities may include part-time, sessional, contractor or employee arrangements.
ABOUT VHA
We're an organisation that's dedicated to improving the physical and mental health of veterans.
We provide health care services through our
Veterans' Better Life Program
; a program we created back in **** because we saw a gap in traditional veteran health care.
Veterans were typically treated in silos that didn't address known barriers to getting help.
We saw an prospect to do things differently, to do things better.
We created an integrated multidisciplinary program that's tailored and treats each person as a whole.
Our successful program has become a leading front-line service for veterans.
It's now available at multiple locations on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Tweed Shire.
We're also expanding to new locations.
