About The Role
Collaborate closely with our local team of journalists to respond swiftly to news events and support content campaigns Produce daily news stories to be compiled into hybrid National/Local news bulletins.Conduct and edit interviews with confidence and select stories that are meaningful to our audience.
Have an easy, real-speak news presenting style suitable for the formats of the MIX***** and HIT***** stations.Be able to interact on-air with our content teams, with flair and humour.Connect & establish respectful relationships with key community contacts.
This is a 6-month fixed-term prospect.
About You
Strong on-air presentation and exceptional news writing skills.A positive outlook and ability to motivate and lead news team.Be a strong contributor to team culture – within the news team and across the broader station team.Tertiary qualification in journalism or communications.A minimum of 3 years working in a news environment or communications field.Experience in using NewsBoss preferred, but we can train you.Ability to produce content with quick turnaround and to deadlines.
Understanding of the law as it relates to media, particularly in the areas of Defamation and Contempt of Court.A passion for news and a workable understanding of sport.
