Job Description
CHEF Albarossa Pty Ltd t/a Koorak Cafe is looking for an experienced full time Chef for their Kings Park venue.
Duties to be performed:
Create and plan menus;
Create and plan specials on regular basis;
Estimate food and labour costs and ordering food supplies;
Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation;
Assume responsibility for the quality of products served, monitoring the taste, visual appeal, financial cost;
Show cooking procedures and make sure they are followed;
Discuss and solve food preparation issues with Managers, kitchen and waiting staff;
Hire, train, manage kitchen staff;
Organize and manage the kitchen staff roster;
Make sure that health and safety standards are maintained in work areas;
Prepare a variety of meats, seafood,



poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment;
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
Skills Required:
Relevant Qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification.
At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role.
Good time management skills and able to work under pressure.
