We currently have 1.6 FTE across a range of caseloads.
These
positions are available full-time or part time with the possibility
of extension and permanency.
Applicants assessed as suitable through this process will be

For applicants working in an adult care environment can be
supported with transition to our paediatric care
environment.
Due to the expansion of
our department, we are excited to offer a range of new

Current vacancies include, but are not limited to, Orthopaedics,
Oncology, Community Rehabilitation, Weekend Services, Adolescent
Medicine, and Refugee Health.
Caseloads will be allocated based on clinical service needs, as
well as the skills, knowledge, and experience of successful

About the
roles:
We are seeking skilled and compassionate
Senior
Occupational Therapists
to join our dynamic team.
You will
provide assessment and support for children with a diverse range of
conditions, covering caseloads according to departmental
requirements.
As a Senior OT within our Department, your responsibilities will
include:
Providing consultancy - conducting appropriate screening,
assessment, treatment/intervention and clinical review for
designated caseloads.
Liaising and negotiating with team members and
community-based services to develop effective management plans
for clients with complex needs.
Participating in regular supervision, evaluation of
clinical practice, and ongoing professional development.
Participating in the development, planning, and evaluation
of services, including ongoing evaluation of clinical practice
and standards.
Supporting the delivery of protected patient care, ensuring
services are family-centred and contributing to continuous
quality improvement activities.
Providing consultancy, contributing to service development,
and upholding the highest standards of professional development
and clinical governance.
Please note evidence of current registration by the
Occupational Therapy Board of Australia must be provided prior to
commencement.
About our Occupational
Therapy Team
Based at Perth Children's Hospital, our dedicated team provide
services to children aged 0–16 years, including inpatients (as part
of a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals) and
outpatients through medical clinics and OT led clinics.
We are committed to maximising a child's potential through
building and recovering skills and strategies that enable
participation and engagement in everyday
activities.
Adapting to each child's age, developmental
needs, illness, injury, or disability we evaluate sensory,
cognitive, motor,



and social-emotional skills.
Through assessment
and consultation with the child and their family, we aim to help
young people achieve age-appropriate levels of independence.
Working across post-surgical, rehabilitation, neurodevelopmental
interventions, and transitions, we support patients during their
journey back home and to school.
This includes outpatient
follow-ups, transition to adult care, liaison with regional
patients via Telehealth, and collaboration with other Health and
NDIS Service Providers, CAHS services, child development services,
and community agencies.

above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be
