Pacific Tug Group is a family-owned Australian marine services company providing specialised marine support across multiple ports and project locations.Our services include harbour towage, coastal towage, marine logistics, project support and shore-based marine services.We support clients in the maritime, construction, infrastructure and resource sectors, delivering secure and reliable marine solutions.About the RolePacific Tug Group is seeking a practical and organised Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to support the ongoing management, improvement and application of our HSE systems across our marine, project and shore-based operations.Based primarily at Pacific Marine Base Brisbane in Murarrie, this role will suit someone who enjoys working with operational teams, keeping safety processes on track, and helping to build a positive safety culture across the business.You will support managers, crew and shore-based personnel with HSE meetings, incident reporting, risk assessments, safety communications, audits, registers and corrective action close-out.
Some travel to vessels, project sites and other operational locations will be required.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the ongoing use and improvement of Pacific Tug Group's HSE systemsMaintain HSE registers, records and reporting requirementsAssist with incident, hazard, near miss and corrective action close-outSupport risk assessments, safe work documentation and HSE processesCoordinate HSE meetings, actions and follow-up requirementsPrepare safety alerts,
toolbox material and other HSE communicationsAssist with internal and external audits, including evidence gathering and action trackingAttend site and vessel safety meetings where requiredSupport HSE inductions, familiarisation and training recordsPromote HSE awareness and implement safety initiatives to contribute to a positive safety cultureAbout YouYou will be approachable, organised and comfortable working with people in practical, operational environments.Ideally you will have:Previous experience in a WHS, HSE, Safety Officer, Safety Coordinator or HSE Advisor roleFormal WHS/HSE qualifications, or progress towards relevant qualificationsSound knowledge of WHS, environmental and compliance requirementsExperience with incident reporting, investigations and corrective action follow-upConfidence preparing safety communications and supporting toolbox discussionsStrong administration, documentation and follow-up skillsGood communication skills and the ability to work with managers, crew and contractorsExperience in maritime, transport, logistics, construction, infrastructure or industrial environments would be highly regardedWhat We OfferA varied HSE role within a well-established Australian marine services businessExposure to vessels, marine operations, project work and shore-based facilitiesSupportive leadership and operational teamsOpportunity to contribute to practical safety and environmental outcomesFull-time role based at Murarrie or Victoria Point, with some travel to sites and vessels as required
