Mascot LocationWe have an exciting opportunity for a driven Branch Manager to join a energetic and market leading Global Freight Forwarding & Logistics Solutions Provider.Reporting to the General Manager, you will be experienced in customs clearance and/or freight forwarding methods and practices.
This includes accounting methods and practices, Customs Law, sales and commercial negotiation techniques, and fulfilling customer requirements.
You will run a cost-effective environment and operate in accordance with the company policy, mission, vision and standards.
Key functions of the role include:Ensure the smooth and efficient flow of custom clearance transactions through the business unitsMake sure all aspects of the customers special instructions and / or SOPs are fulfilledProvide guidance, motivation and support to all staff within the business unit.Delegate duties to the business unit members,
ensuring adequate follow up procedures are metEnsure that any opportunities for new business or extension are acted uponDispute and issues resolution relating to serviceEstablish a client visitation program for all business unit accountsDemonstrate strong awareness and understanding of financial management and cost controlsProduce a monthly report to be discussed at monthly management meetingsWhat you will bring to the role:University Degree or industry related qualifications (preferred but not essential)Minimum 5 years experience with Branch Management or Leadership roleQuarantine Accreditation or similar experience.Experience with CargoWise preferredKnowledge of Customs clearance proceduresGood technology skills, familiarity with Microsoft office etcAbility to Manage, Motivate & Develop IndividualsOnly shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
