They foster a culture where people are trusted to do their best work, supported by clear standards, strong collaboration, and leadership that backs good judgement.With continued growth and investment in its finance function, they are seeking a Financial Accountant who can contribute both operationally and strategically.The RoleAs a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, ensuring compliance obligations are met, and supporting the broader finance function.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end month-end close processPrepare journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset registers and reconciliationsMaintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledgerPrepare monthly management accounts,



variance analysis and financial reporting packsAssist with annual budgets and forecasting processesManage regulatory reporting requirements including BAS, PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation and ASIC complianceOversee payroll processing and reportingPerform bank and balance sheet reconciliationsSupport cash flow management and forecasting activitiesCoordinate audit requirements and external reporting obligationsIdentify and implement process improvements across finance operationsAct as a key systems user and subject matter expert for accounting platformsMentor and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team membersAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong technical accounting capability combined with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.Skills & ExperienceDegree qualified in Accounting, Finance or BusinessCA or CPA qualified (or actively working towards qualification) is highly regarded.Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar roleProven experience leading month-end reporting processesStrong knowledge of financial accounting principles and compliance obligationsAdvanced reconciliation, reporting and analytical skillsExperience using MYOB and Xero is essentialStrong Excel and financial systems capabilityAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience within insurance, financial services or another regulated industryExposure to systems implementations and process improvement projectsWhat's on Offer?
