Multi-Skilled Nursery & Chemical Spray Operator – Production Nursery (Glenorie, NSW)
Arborglen Pty Ltd is a leading wholesale production nursery operating across 55 acres in Glenorie, for Flower Power retail stores.
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Nursery & Chemical Spray Operator to join our team.
This role combines hands-on nursery work with the safe and effective application of crop protection products, supporting plant health and overall production quality.
About the Role.
This is a hands-on, team-driven position where you will be responsible for supporting daily nursery operations while also carrying out chemical applications to maintain plant quality and control pests and diseases.
Success in this role requires someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, willing to learn, and able to follow direction, while contributing positively to team performance and production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out chemical spraying programs (insecticides, fungicides, herbicides) in line with schedules and instructions.
Ensure safe handling, mixing, and application of chemicals in compliance with regulations and company procedures.
Maintain accurate spray records and logs
Monitor plant health and report pest, disease, or crop issues.
Perform general nursery duties including plant handling, spacing, pruning, cleaning, and maintaining growing areas.
Assist with irrigation, fertilising, and crop maintenance tasks.




Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production and quality targets
Performance Focus (KPIs)
Success in this role will be measured by:
Accuracy and timeliness of spray applications
Compliance with safety and chemical handling procedures
Crop health outcomes (pest and disease control effectiveness)
Quality and completeness of spray records
Team contribution and reliability
What You Bring
Current Chemical Application Certificate (essential)
Strong understanding of safe chemical handling and application practices
Experience in nursery, horticulture, or agriculture (preferred)
Physically fit and capable of manual labour in outdoor conditions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to plant quality
Strong team player – willing to support others and contribute to a positive work environment
Willingness to learn and take on a variety of nursery tasks
Ability to follow instructions and work under direction
Reliable, punctual, and quality-focused mindset
