We're looking for an experienced Mathematics Teacher who wants to bring their expertise, creativity and real-world perspective into a school environment that is genuinely different.

The Industry School is unlike any other senior school.
We work with young people who want a deliberately different educational experience one that blends senior secondary education with vocational learning and genuine industry exposure.
Our unique two-to-three-year program for students in Years ***** is designed to build employability skills, develop individual strengths and achieve personalised learning goals while meeting Queensland curriculum and vocational requirements.
Our students learn in the classroom, in workplaces and on the job.
That means our teachers do more than deliver curriculum.
They build relationships, open doors and help young people understand what is possible for their future.
About you
We're looking for an experienced Mathematics Teacher who is confident in their craft and excited by the prospect to do things differently.
You don't have to be a tradie to teach at The Industry School.
You'll be someone who:
Brings solid mathematics knowledge and classroom experienceCan make mathematics practical,
engaging and relevant to young peopleEnjoys connecting classroom learning with real-world situations and industryBuilds genuine relationships and knows that connection comes before learningHas high expectations while understanding that every young person takes a different pathIs confident adapting their teaching to students with different abilities, backgrounds and aspirationsEnjoys working collaboratively and contributing ideas beyond their own classroomWants to be part of a school that is continually evolving and challenging traditional approaches to education
Most importantly, you'll believe that every young person can succeed when learning has purpose.
What you'll do
You'll be responsible for delivering quality Mathematics programs that engage students and achieve strong learning outcomes, while contributing to the broader educational and vocational experience of our young people.
This includes:
Planning and delivering engaging Mathematics curriculum and assessment programsCreating learning experiences that connect mathematical concepts to real-world applicationsSupporting students to build confidence, capability and independence in MathematicsDeveloping positive, respectful relationships with young people and creating a safe and motivating learning environmentWorking collaboratively with colleagues, industry partners, parents and the wider school communityUsing innovative approaches to respond to the individual needs and goals of studentsMaintaining high standards of curriculum delivery, assessment, documentation and complianceContributing to the ongoing development and evaluation of quality teaching and learning programsSupporting the wellbeing and holistic development of young people
You'll also work in accordance with the AITSL Skilled Standards for Teachers and contribute positively to the culture and direction of The Industry School.
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree or higherCurrent QCT registration, or provisional registration with eligibility for full registrationRight to work in Australia

Strong experience teaching Mathematics in Years *****A track record of engaging students who may not thrive in a traditional classroom environmentExperience connecting learning to vocational pathways, careers or industryA practical, creative approach to teaching MathematicsStrong communication,
