We're hiring an Assistant Purchasing Manager to take ownership of a $50M procurement portfolio across a complex, high-volume product range.This is not a transactional role.
You'll be responsible for supplier strategy, negotiations, cost optimisation, and supply risk, working closely with leadership to improve performance and support business growth.If you enjoy making decisions, solving supply challenges, and driving measurable results, this is your opportunity to step up.What You'll Be DoingManage and develop relationships with local and international suppliersIdentify new suppliers to improve capability and cost competitivenessNegotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial termsManage supply risks, delays, and disruptionsOversee purchasing activity from order through to deliveryOptimise inventory levels across a multi-warehouse environmentIdentify cost savings and efficiency improvementsLeverage data, automation, and AI to improve procurement performance and decision‐makingWhat Success Looks LikeMeasurable cost savings deliveredImproved supplier performance and reliabilityReduced supply risk and stock shortagesAbout the Role$50M annual spend150 suppliers (local + international)High-SKU, multi-category environmentWhat You'll Bring3–5+ years in procurement / purchasing / supply chainStrong supplier negotiation and relationship management skillsInventory planning and forecasting experienceExperience working with international suppliersDemonstrated ability to leverage AI and digital technologies to improve procurement performance through spend analysis, demand forecasting, workflow automation, supplier evaluation,
and AI-assisted decision-makingHighly RegardedTertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Commerce, Logistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.Experience working within TGA-regulated and/or ISO-certified quality management environments, including ISO *****, ISO *****:****, HACCP, or equivalent quality standards.Proven ability to drive business process improvements through automation, ERP enhancements, and collaboration with IT.Experience managing supplier quality, product compliance, and regulatory documentation across regulated product categories, including medical, healthcare, laboratory, hospitality, hygiene, and safety products.Why Join Livingstone?
