North West Community Services Inc (NWCS) is a long established, not for profit, community based organisation, servicing individuals and families within Sydney's North West Growth Area.

NWCS is a Child Safe Organisation and values the voices, needs and safety of children and young people.As a neighbourhood/community centre, we aim to build strong community connections, offering a range of opportunities and meaningful activity that can improve health and wellbeing, economic and social outcomes.NWCS has an exciting role for a suitably qualified and experienced professional to join our Ageing, Disability and Wellness team, to deliver services as part of our Commonwealth Home Support Program.The PositionThe Ageing, Disability and Wellness Team is funded by a range of public and private philanthropic funding and delivers Aged Care Services as part of the Commonwealth Home Support Program, along with NDIS services.
The program seeks to work with older people to remain living in the community and to maximise their independence.
The program is underpinned by a wellness and reablement approach, supporting clients to continue to achieve goals, have roles that are meaningful to them,



continue to make a contribution to society and have a thriving life.The Program Support Worker assists with the provision of aged care serivces, providing one to one client support, and group based activities.
The role can include (but not limited to):setup and pack upInvolved in program planning/mappingFacilitate programs when requiredOne on one client support – can include transportUpdating client files – Alchemy SMSThe successful candidate will have the following essential requirements:Qualifications (or currently undertaking study) in social sciences, humanities, community or health related fieldsExperience working with older people, or willing to learnAbility to communicate with people from a range of ages, backgrounds etc.Ability to manage time and complete tasks in a timely mannerCommitment to social justice, cultural diversity, accountability and integrityNational Police CheckWorking with Children CheckWe encourage applicants from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander or CALD backgrounds.Package on offer:North West Community Services is an employer of choice offering:SCHADS Award- Level 2Salary packaging optionsFamily friendly/adaptable work optionsOngoing training and developmentAccess to free EAPFree parking and close to transportAdditional leave days over ChristmasApplications Close 5pm 13 August ****We thank all applicants for their interest in this role.
