As Mater's first new public hospital in over 60 years, thisstate-of-the-artfacility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region.The Occupational Therapy team supports public and private patients across the co-located Mater Hospital Springfield and Mater Private Hospital Springfield, delivering care across diverse specialty areas including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, ICU, and emergency.Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour plus 25% casual loadingplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doingAs an Occupational Therapist, you will provide patient-centred, evidence-based clinical care to patients across Mater Hospital Springfield.
These roles will predominantly support patients across medical, surgical, and ICU.Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):Key responsibilities include:Deliver occupational therapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients across a range of clinical specialtiesManaging an appropriate caseload using robust time management and prioritisation skillsProvide safe, evidence-based care in line with professional, departmental, and organisational standardsContribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and support patient-centred care planningParticipate in quality and service improvement initiatives,
translating evidence into practiceMaintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service evaluation and reportingEngage in ongoing professional development and foster a culture of learning, collaboration and clinical excellenceAbout youTo excel in this role, you must have at least 1 year of experience working in an acute hospital environment.You will also bring:A Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy degreeRegistration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Clinical proficiency in a range of specialties across a hospital serviceStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, patients, and carersCommitment to Mater's mission, vision, and values, acting with compassion, integrity, and respect for human dignityAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and support patient care planningMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
