We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our friendly and team-oriented Head Office team based in Spring Hill.

About the Role
Reporting to theFinancial Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll across our national network of hospitals.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing fortnightly payroll for employees across 39 hospitals
Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment conditions
Processing new starters, terminations and employee changes
Maintaining accurate employee payroll records
Responding to payroll enquiries and providing payroll-related advice
Preparing and running payroll reports
Performing payroll calculations, reconciliations and compliance checks
Building strong relationships with employees, managers and stakeholders
Assisting with payroll improvement initiatives and upcoming payroll projects
About You
2-5 years' experience in end-to-end payroll processing
Experience working within a high-volume payroll environment
Strong understanding of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and legislative requirements
Experience managing new starter setups, terminations and leave calculations
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive approach to problem-solving
The ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
MYOB payroll experience essential
XERO payroll experience advantageousHealthcare or multi-site payroll experience
