Working within a supportive team, you will be a trusted advisor,providing accurate, timely and practical advice predominantly over the phone orvia email to our members.This is arole for someone who already understands the realities of workplace relationsadvice and can confidently move between legislation, awards, membercircumstances and practical business outcomes.
No two days will look the same,and may include:Interpreting Up-to-date Award andenterprise agreement conditionsDrafting and preparing advice aroundIndividual Flexibility Agreements and employment contractsCoaching members on disciplinary andtermination processesBargaining and employee consultationProviding support to other Advisors,including assistance with advocacy, research activities and member education.What youwill bring to the team:We arelooking for an experienced workplace relations professional who can hit theground running.
While you will be supported by the team, you will bring theconfidence, judgement and practical experience needed to provide clear advicefrom day one.
You will have an understanding that goes beyond the textbook,with the ability to apply employment legislation and industrial instruments toreal-world workplace issues.Relevant tertiary qualifications inLaw, Human Resources, Business,



Commerce or a related disciplineStrong working knowledge of the FairWork Act, Modern Awards and other employment relations legislationDemonstrated experience interpretingModern Awards, enterprise agreements and employment contracts in a practicaladvisory settingExperience providing advice orcoaching on performance management, disciplinary processes, terminations andother sensitive employment mattersSound numerical skills and theability to work confidently through pay, entitlement and classificationquestionsIdeally, exposure to Fair WorkCommission processes, including preparation of employer responses and reconciliation framework.While not essential, constructionindustry experience would be highly regarded.It's ourbrand - established in **** and with more than 10,000 members, we representsome of Australia's largest and most successful builders.
