Towill Design Group – Fortitude Valley QLDTowill Design Group is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our energetic design team on a full-time basis at our office in Fortitude Valley, QLD ****.
This role is central to transforming architectural concepts into precise, detailed technical drawings that guide construction and realisation of our projects.
As an Architectural Draftsperson, you will play a vital role in the design process, ensuring that all drawings meet industry standards, comply with building codes, and effectively communicate the architect's vision to builders, contractors and stakeholders.Key responsibilitiesPrepare detailed architectural drawings using CAD software and industry-standard toolsTranslate architect sketches and design concepts into accurate technical documentationEnsure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards and Australian Building StandardsUpdate and revise drawings based on feedbackCoordinate with architects and other design professionals to resolve technical and spatial issuesMaintain consistency in drawing standards, conventions and documentation across all project deliverablesPrepare drawing sets for tender, development approval and construction phasesAssist in the creation of 3D models and visualisations when requiredManage drawing files and maintain organised project documentation systemsWhat we're looking forProficiency in architectural CAD software, with demonstrated expertise in ArchicadStrong understanding of architectural drawing conventions,



building codes and construction methodologies in AustraliaMinimum 3–5 years' professional experience in architectural drafting or related design environmentExcellent technical drawing skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a teamStrong communication skills and ability to interpret architectural concepts and translate them into technical documentationProficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management toolsProblem‐solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve technical drawing issuesKnowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) principles and experience working on BIM projects is advantageousRelevant tertiary qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology or equivalent formal trainingWhat we offerTowill Design Group is committed to supporting the professional growth of our team members.
