We are seeking a professional, high-energy Venue Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy, high-quality cafe/restaurant and have experience in leading events such as weddings, corporate functions and birthdays.This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving operational excellence, and building a strong, motivated team.The ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and takes pride in running a smooth, profitable, and welcoming venue.Key ResponsibilitiesRecruit, train, mentor, and lead a team of front-of-houseCreate positive team culture with high standards of service and performanceManage rostering, performance reviews, and staff developmentFoster a supportive and skilled work environment Operations & Service ExcellenceOversee all day-to-day venue operations to ensure smooth and efficient serviceMaintain exceptional standards of customer service and guest satisfactionManage opening/closing procedures and ensure the venue is always presentation-readyHandle customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionallyOversee and manage functions and events inc. enquiries, planning and executing.
Financial & Business PerformanceMonitor and control costs (food, beverage, labour,



and overheads)Drive revenue through excellent service, upselling, and promotional executionTrack daily/weekly sales and KPIs, reporting to ownersManage stock ordering, inventory control, and wastage Compliance & StandardsEnsure full compliance with food safety, hygiene (HACCP), OH&S;, and licensing requirementsMaintain high standards of cleanliness and venue presentationManage supplier relationships and negotiate best terms where possible Other DutiesWork weekends and some evenings as required (hospitality hours)Represent the venue positively in the local communitySupport marketing and social media efforts when needed Requirements & QualificationsMinimum 2 years' experience as a Venue Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Cafe Manager in a high-volume environmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teamsExcellent customer service mindset and problem-solving abilitySolid understanding of P&L;, cost control, and inventory managementExperience with POS systems and basic Microsoft Office/Google toolsCurrent Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (or equivalent)Food Safety Supervisor certificate (highly regarded)Passion for hospitality and genuine care for both guests and staff
