The role involves providing comprehensive post-anesthesia care, including monitoring patients recovering from surgery, managing pain and comfort, and responding promptly to changes in patient status.
Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, administering medications as prescribed, supporting airway management, and documenting care in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
PACU nurses collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthetists,



and other clinical staff to ensure safe handover, smooth patient flow, and high-quality recovery room care.
The role also includes patient and family education, adherence to infection control practices, and participation in quality and safety initiatives.QualificationsDemonstrated Nursing skills and relevant clinical experience in acute or perioperative settingsKnowledge of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine to support safe post-operative monitoring and interventionStrong Post Anesthesia Care and Recovery Room skills, including assessment, pain management, and emergency responseCurrent registration as a Registered Nurse with the appropriate nursing board or authorityAdvanced Life Support or equivalent resuscitation training and competencyExcellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary environmentCommitment to evidence-based practice, infection prevention, and patient safetyWillingness to participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement activities
