Ventico Australia is seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team at our Tomago, NSW facility.This is not a desk-only engineering role.
You'll work alongside experienced mechanical engineers, tradespeople and technicians to design, develop, improve and support underground mining equipment operating throughout Australia.Ventico Australia is a leading designer, manufacturer and overhaul specialist for underground coal mining equipment.
We are an OEM for a range of specialised mining machines and attachments and are recognised for our expertise in heavy mechanical engineering, diesel engine systems (DES), hydraulic systems, braking systems and mining compliance.Heavy equipment design and manufactureMechanical and structural designFinite Element Analysis (FEA)Prototype development and testingMachine rebuilds and engineering upgradesDesign certification and engineering documentationResearch and development of current mining technologiesThe OpportunityAs a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will gain practical experience across every stage of the engineering process,



including:Structural and mechanical calculationsDesign validation and testingSite visits to underground coal minesWorking directly with fabrication and machining teamsAssisting with new product developmentSupporting engineering documentation and technical reportsParticipating in continuous improvement projectsThis role provides genuine exposure to large-scale mechanical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning.About YouYou will have:Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (or graduating within the next 12 months)Strong problem-solving skillsInterest in heavy machinery and mechanical systemsKnowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks experience desirable)A willingness to learn from experienced engineers and tradespeopleCurrent driver's licence (or ability to obtain one)What We OfferMentoring from experienced engineersExposure to real engineering projects from day oneOpportunities to work on Australia's largest underground mining equipmentModern engineering and workshop facilitiesCareer progression into design engineering, project engineering and product developmentWhy Ventico?
