Business Development Executive, HospitalityRole can be based in Sydney or Pokolbin and will involve some travel between both locationsMulpha Australia is one of the country's most experienced real estate and hospitality investors, with a portfolio of world-class destinations, luxury properties, hospitality assets and lifestyle experiences.We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Executive to join our Hospitality & Leisure team.
This role will focus on generating new business, converting enquiries and building long-term client relationships across Mulpha's hospitality and leisure portfolio.Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, you will combine proactive business development with strong enquiry management to drive revenue growth across corporate, group, leisure, MICE and travel trade segments.Key responsibilities will include:Identify, research and pursue current business opportunities across corporate, group, leisure, MICE and travel trade markets.Generate qualified leads through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events and trade shows.Develop tailored proposals, pitches and presentations for prospective clients and partners.Conduct client meetings, site inspections and familiarisation visits to showcase Mulpha's venues and experiences.Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, travel agents, event planners, corporate clients and booking partners.Manage the sales process from enquiry through to contract, ensuring a seamless handover to operations and events teams.Maintain accurate sales activity,
pipeline and forecast records in the CRM.Track conversion rates, pipeline health and market activity, providing regular reporting and insight to management.Work closely with marketing, events, operations and revenue teams to deliver a high standard of client experience.YOUR BACKGROUND3–5+ years' experience in business development, corporate sales or MICE sales within hospitality, hotels, tourism or events.A proven track record in generating new business and achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets.Experience managing the full sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting through to proposal, negotiation, contract execution and client handover.Strong relationship-building skills with corporate clients, event planners, agencies, travel trade partners or similar networks.Confidence conducting client meetings, presentations, site inspections, familiarisations and networking activity.Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines, forecasting and reporting.Strong negotiation, influencing, communication and organisational skills.A proactive, self-motivated and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities at once.A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for client meetings, site inspections, industry events and trade showsBENEFITSBirthday leaveLifestyle platform with 400+ retailer discountsSalary sacrificing, financial education and benefitsCareer progression, Mulpha Academy and study assistanceWellbeing Hub, healthcare discounts and Employee Assistance ProgramFree car parking or car parking discounts at selected offices and venues
