Together with the development of Jericho, Eloise is an important part of AIC Mines' growth strategy.This is a great opportunity to join an experienced underground team focused on safety, teamwork, performance and continuous improvement.The RoleReporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient charging and firing of both development and production blasts across our underground operations.This role is critical to supporting mining schedules, maintaining safe work areas and contributing to strong production outcomes.Key responsibilities include:Development and production charging, including upholes and downholesUsing Orica products and systems, including Hypercharge Emulsion and i-kon detonatorsOperating Orica Blaster **** and i-kon Logger II remote firing systemsPreparing, charging and firing underground headings and production stopesManaging explosive storage, transport and stock control in line with site proceduresInspecting work areas, identifying hazards and ensuring all work is completed safelyCompleting required charging and blasting documentationWorking closely with development,
production and technical services teamsSupporting the crew to achieve safe and efficient mining outcomesAbout YouYou will be an experienced underground Charge Up Operator or Shotfirer who takes pride in working safely and contributing to a strong team.To be successful in the role, you will have:A minimum of one to two years' experience in underground charge-up operationsExperience with both development and production chargingExperience using Orica charging products, systems and firing equipment, highly regardedA strong commitment to safety and following site proceduresGood communication skills and the ability to work well within a teamA current manual Queensland driver's licenceThe ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police clearanceA current Queensland Explosives Security Clearance card and Queensland Shotfirer's Licence are desirable but not essential.What We OfferRotating roster, including ***** day shift and ***** night shiftFIFO from Townsville and Brisbane, or bus-in/bus-out from Cloncurry and surrounding areasOnsite accommodation and meals providedModern charging systems and equipmentTraining and career development opportunitiesA supportive team setting within a growing operationCompetitive remuneration and employee benefitsAIC Mines is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce where everyone is treated fairly and respectfully.
