This is a full time position based in Sydney CBD with hybrid work from home arrangements.
The position assumes a background in planning in either the public or private sector in NSW and the ability to undertake a range of planning tasks and deliverables, with an emphasis on statutory planning.
This is an opportunity for an agile planner to learn from others in a practice committed to mentoring, guidance of staff and professional development across all aspects of town planning.Key responsibilitiesConducting site analysis and opportunities to inform planning recommendationsLiaison with local councils, government agencies and stakeholders to progress planning applicationsAnalysing planning policy frameworks and providing expert advice to both internal and external clientsDrafting of town planning reports, development applications, modification applications and clause 4.6 variation statementsGeneral project management capabilities including the consolidation of applications for lodgement and some coordination of consultantsPreparing presentations and attending meetings with clients and government representativesConducting research as part of ongoing career development and collaboration with the teamWhat we're looking forTertiary qualifications in Town Planning1-3 years of experience in town planning in either the public or private sector NSWWorking knowledge and understanding of NSW planning legislationUnderstanding of key planning principles and practices, with the ability and willingness to learnWell-developed communication skills, both written and verbalStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesEffectively manage numerous projects, competing priorities and deadlinesTo be self-motivated and able work both independently as well as be guided by your colleaguesWhat we offerKnight Frank Town Planning is committed to providing a supportive and rewarding workplace.
