Wagga Wagga City Council are seekingenthusiastic swim instructors to join our Oasis Swim School team to teach alllevels of our program across the seven (7) days of the week that we operate.
As a Casual Learn to SwimInstructor, you will play a vital role in delivering our Learn to Swim program,which aims to equip participants with essential water safety skills and fostera lifelong love for swimming.
You will work closely with our team of experiencedinstructors to deliver engaging and effective swim lessons that meet the needsof diverse learners.
Positions are casual andon an as needs basis.
With shifts both during the week and on weekends.

Tasks and responsibilities include:
Deliver Engaging Swim Lessons: Lead swimlessons for participants of various ages and abilities, following establishedcurriculum and safety guidelines.




Provide Individualized Instruction: Offerpersonalized feedback and guidance to help participants develop proper swimmingtechniques and build confidence in the water.
Ensure Safety: AlwaysMaintain a safe and supportive learning environment, adhering to recognizedsafety standards and protocols.
Communicate Effectively: Establish clearcommunication channels with participants and colleagues to provide updates onprogress, schedules, and any relevant information.
Maintain Records: Keep accuraterecords of attendance, progress, and assessments, and provide regular updatesto program supervisors.
Team Player: Be able towork in a team environment.
Qualifications and experience:
We arelooking for people who hold the following:
SwimTeacher qualification – Royal Life Saving Society Australia (RLSSA) orAustswim Australia accredited course.
NSWWorking with Children Check Clearance.
First Aid Certificate.
Pool LifeguardLicence.
Teacher of Babies andToddlers or Infant and Preschool Aquatics; Teacher of Aquatics Access andInclusion; Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes; or Teacher of Adults
In accordance withWork Health and Safety legislation,



successful candidates are required to bevaccinated for Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B and will be asked to provideevidence of this.
Thisrole involves child-related work and is subject to NSW child protectionlegislation.
A current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC), issued by theNSW Office of the Children's Guardian, is required.
